With its exclusive energy return Hanwag Bead Technology and durable design, this innovative hiking shoe is lightweight, springy and robust. The benefits of its innovative midsole can literally be felt with every step.
INNOVATIVE SOLE TECHNOLOGY FOR ULTIMATE HIKING COMFORT
At the heart of the low-cut shoe is its specially developed midsole with Hanwag Bead Technology. It combines the stability of polyurethane (PU) and the rebound energy of expanded thermoplastic polyurethane beads (E-TPU). This innovative material from BASF absorbs energy upon impact and releases it again – promoting maximum hiking comfort with an extra dose of dynamic energy return. Moreover, despite its soft, springy feel the PU/E-TPU mix is more resistant, retains performance significantly longer than conventional cushioning materials and ensures maximum support for the feet in rugged hiking terrain.
The durability and reliability of the cushioning performance of this combination of materials has been confirmed by an independent test and research institute. Compared to other EVA-based shoes, the Kaduro Light GTX offers significantly greater durability for its cushioning midsole unit. Hanwag is using this innovative combination of TPU beads and PU exclusively in the outdoor shoe sector.
LIGHTWEIGHT AND DURABLE
Despite its lightweight design, the Kaduro Light GTX makes no compromises when it comes to robustness and durability. Its upper is made of a particularly abrasion-resistant and tear-resistant polyester/polyurethane fabric. In addition, its GORETEX Invisible Fit technology offers durable weather protection, but also helps boost overall wear comfort. The waterproof membrane is bonded directly to the upper, ensuring a natural fit and feel with high breathability at a reduced weight.
TECHNICAL DETAILS:
SUSTAINABLE BECAUSE ITS 100% MADE IN EUROPE
The Kaduro Light GTX, like all Hanwag footwear, is manufactured exclusively in Europe. This makes it possible to closely monitor production and guarantee extremely high quality standards.
In addition, the shorter transport routes between production sites and European retailers help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption. Hanwag operates its own shoemaking factory in Hungary, and has long-standing partnerships with production facilities in other European countries, such as Croatia and Germany.
The majority of components also come from long-standing European partners. As such, Hanwag ensures high environmental and social standards across the supply chain. Furthermore, Hanwag can more easily verify the sustainable production of materials due to the proximity to its suppliers. It therefore follows that the Hanwag Kaduro Light GTX is 100% PFAS free.
